Hey all another quick update as we are about to go out to Spike's 1st birthday party.
We are back down in Bath after spending a few weeks in Yorkshire with relatives.
After staying at Ann and John's, (which is where i think we ended last time with us having an awesome time with them...) we went to Janet and Richard's place. Once again we had a reeealy great time.
Places we have been...
We visited Gainsborough(sp?)
Lots of markets
Chatsworth House
Pretty little villages
Pontefract Castle
Currently forgotten name of awesome and important castle
Another awesome house with the most amazing kitchens
and many other places whose names defeat me at the moment.
Our last night with Janet and Richard went our with a bang. Janet Chris and I were in the old conservatory which has been converted into a cinema. There was a sliding door between the Cinema and outside and another between the cinema and the house (dining room.) Richard went to bed about 1/2 way through Lord of the Rings 3 (extended) and the three of us settled in for the rest.
When the movie was over, i got up to open the door and take the mugs into the kitchen. ''um......Janet.....,'' I said. '' The door is locked!!''
''oh don't be stupid Sarah.....'' said Chris and Janet.
however the door reeeealy was locked. Richard had gone to bed and locked up like normal forgetting we were in the cinema and locked us out of the house!!
Richard is a very heavy sleeper!!!
We called out....nothing....
we went outside and tried every door. Nothing.
We called up to the window. Nothing.
We had no phone to call him on. (it is also about 1:00am so we can't bug the people over the road.)
In the end Janet had to fetch a large piece of wood and we hoisted it on the roof and banged on the windows. Nothing
He wouldn't wake up.
After about 10 mins of knocking on the 2nd story window with a 6 metre piece of wood. He finally woke up.
THE NEXT DAY...
The next day we were off to Chris's Great Aunt's son David's place. (sorry confusing)
We had a great time. David took us walking in the bush and also to Oakwell hall, Norsten Priory, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, and castle Howard. (in two days.....what an effort.)
YESTERDAY ( Friday)
we hired a car, and drove from Yorkshire to Bath. We had a 4 hour stop off at Warwick Castle on the way. it was covered in interactive tours and events. We even saw a Trebuchet!!!
It was the most amazing day and the castle is beeeeautiful. (pictures later sorry)
We are now in bath with the lovely Barbara and Steve. We are having quite a weekend with baby Spike's b'day and Steve's B'day and bonfire night all rolled into a couple of days.
anyway best be off and get ready!!

Well well I am now one up on you lived at Chatsworth house for three weeks Uncle Jim was the national trust person in charge of it and lived on site for ten years.
Anyway great to hear the news could have been a worse room to get locked in, you will spent years paying back everyone for their kindness.
Brisbane is VERY hot its 34 today and humid.

What was the deal with Packwood house... Need to know ASAP as we have the oppertunity to drive past on tuesday.

party was great pirate themes with 6 kids turning one and all the entourage for each family. Held in a hall
awesome
It was famous for its gardens which has been done to show the ten commandments. William the C was to have stayed there so its very very old. Super old hall where he dad dinner. Full of secret passage ways as all very old places had. Jim Brittain was there from about 69 and was still there mid 70s when I was there.
